SHWE YAUNGHWE KYAUNG - BURMA-MYANMAR

The temple and adjoining monastery of Nyaungshwe are just a delight to the eye. The walls and ceiling of the temple are decorated with hand painted glass tiles. The walls have hundreds of niches, each one a home to a Buddha statue.

Here we see the bad men trying to catch the virtues ladies hiding up the tree but they cannot get them.

                     Across the courtyard is an active teak ordination hall with picturesque oval windows.
