MILITARY TREND- ON HIGH ALERT

The recent fall 17 runway shows did not revel a lot of fun, in-your-face trends. Cast aside were the peacocks, the slinky sexuality and over embellishment of prior years and hailed was simplicity. Norm-core, Nerd-core and "Dad-Bad" looks, are the new cool, while Business Casual is back in style. The outfits shown were wearable for most customers and very sellable for most stores.

The only fun trend that I saw interwoven in a few presentations was CAMOUFLAGE. Fashionistas may have taken their cue from the military hot spots around that world, that could erupt at any minute.

BALMAIN went to town with this trend and many of the pieces, worn separately, are totally wearable for the guy in the street.

MOSCHINO, stuck with the military mate look to dress his urban, gender neutral, vigilantes.

No camo, but the use of military green created very easy street looks at Dsquared2, Lanvin and The Kouples.

At Dorfman Pacific's DPC GLOBAL TRENDS, TROPICAL TRENDS and MOSSY OAK labels, we have a great selection of camo hats to merchandise with these looks.
